The Person Behind the Companies

A builder shaped by service, systems and lived experience.

Marky’s work sits at the intersection of compassionate care and practical execution. He understands that a meaningful care vision needs more than good intentions—it needs organized documentation, trained people, responsible leadership, workable systems, and respect for every individual involved.

Before entrepreneurship became his full-time calling, Marky built an approximately 12-year career with Wells Fargo Home Mortgage. His work included Customer Care, Business Execution Administration, and Business Analysis. Those roles strengthened his ability to listen carefully, manage detailed processes, communicate across teams, solve operational problems, and guide people through decisions that can feel both technical and deeply personal.

He later brought that discipline into California’s residential and senior-care field. His professional preparation has included Residential Care Facility for the Elderly (RCFE) administrator training, Adult Residential Facility (ARF) administrator training, Direct Support Professional I (DSP I), and First Aid, CPR and AED training. Just as importantly, Marky has learned by doing: preparing applications, responding to corrections, organizing facility-readiness work, developing caregiver resources, building referral relationships, and turning complicated requirements into understandable next steps.

The Rosenthal Care Continuum

Marky’s credibility comes from combining care-sector education with years of process, customer, and business experience.

He approaches consulting with a practical principle: start with the published requirements, understand the purpose behind them, and look for responsible solutions that fit the client’s actual operation and resources. He does not believe every obstacle requires the most expensive answer. He believes people deserve to understand the available pathways, the tradeoffs, and the work required to move forward responsibly.

That mindset shapes RCCS services, RASCC family support, the development of The Western Lights Residences, and the long-range direction of The Rosenthal Care Group. The goal is not simply to launch businesses. It is to build systems people can trust.

  • Translate complex processes into manageable action
  • Protect dignity while improving accountability
  • Offer practical options without promising shortcuts
  • Keep families, residents and caregivers at the center

The Road Was Not Easy

Resilience became part of the business plan.

Marky’s founder story was not built from unlimited capital, perfect timing, or a straight line to success.

Leaving the familiarity of a long corporate career meant trading predictability for responsibility. Building in residential care brought its own weight: detailed applications, changing documents, corrections, long review periods, fire and facility-readiness concerns, resource constraints, and moments when progress seemed to depend on one more form, one more answer, or one more round of patience.

There were also deeply human seasons when an unexpected household expense could consume nearly a full day’s pay. Experiences like that did not embarrass Marky; they clarified the kind of leader he wanted to become—resourceful, honest about limitations, grateful for every opportunity, and unwilling to forget what financial pressure feels like for ordinary people.

Marky and Kelvin met those seasons together. They planned, adjusted, prayed, learned, corrected what needed correcting, and kept moving. Their story is not about never experiencing fear or frustration. It is about refusing to let either one have the final word.

What Guides Him

Faith, manifestation and disciplined action.

Marky is open about his Christian faith. His relationship with God and Jesus Christ influences how he understands purpose, service, gratitude, discernment, and success.

Faith With Humility

Prayer is not reserved for crisis. It is part of how Marky seeks direction, gives thanks, surrenders what he cannot control, and remembers that leadership is stewardship. For him, helping a family or treating a resident with dignity matters more than appearing important.

Manifestation With Work

Marky believes in speaking a vision clearly, seeing possibility before it becomes visible, and acting in alignment with that belief. Manifestation, in his life, is not passive wishing. It is faith joined with intention, preparation, consistent work, wise decisions, and the courage to begin again.

Family & Partnership

Built with his husband, Kelvin Garcia.

Marky is a husband as well as a founder. His life partner, Kelvin Justo Garcia, is also his business partner and serves as an owner and Chief Operating Officer within The Rosenthal Care Group.

Their strengths are complementary. Marky is the visionary and strategist who sees how the pieces can connect; Kelvin brings operational focus, steady execution, and the discipline required to turn a large idea into repeatable daily work. Their partnership reflects the same values they want residents, families, clients, and team members to experience: loyalty, accountability, perseverance, and care expressed through action.

Family is not separate from Marky’s professional mission. It is one of the reasons the mission exists. He wants the Rosenthal companies to help create the kind of security, dignity, and belonging that every family hopes to protect when someone they love needs care.

Leadership Values

What Marky wants his name to stand for.

01

Dignity Before Transaction

Residents, families, caregivers, and clients are people first. Every service should reflect that.

02

Clarity Before Complexity

Good guidance makes difficult processes understandable without pretending the work is effortless.

03

Resourcefulness Before Excess

Responsible, compliant solutions should consider the client’s real needs and resources.

04

Progress Before Perfection

Correct, learn, improve, and continue. A setback is information—not a final identity.

05

Faith Before Fear

Move with prayer, gratitude, discernment, and the courage to do the next right thing.

06

Legacy Before Applause

Build work that can outlast a moment and improve life for families and communities.

A Proud Filipino Entrepreneur

Rooted in family, hospitality and responsibility.

Marky’s Filipino identity strengthens his appreciation for family closeness, respect for elders, hospitality, persistence, and shared responsibility.

Those values naturally belong in care. They appear in the desire to make a residence feel like home, to help families feel heard, to prepare caregivers for meaningful work, and to build opportunities that can connect communities in California, the Philippines, and beyond.

He does not measure success only by the number of companies built. He measures it by whether those companies become useful—whether they solve real problems, open doors, improve care, and create a legacy his family and community can be proud of.

A Note From Marky

“I am still becoming the person the vision requires.”

I did not wait until life was perfect to begin. I began with what I knew, what I had, the people I loved, and the faith that the next step would become clear when I was willing to take it.

Every correction taught me to prepare better. Every delay taught me patience. Every financial limitation taught me creativity. Every person who trusted us reminded me that a business is never just a logo, a license, or a transaction—it is a promise to be useful.

I believe God can place a vision in your heart long before you have all the resources to complete it. I also believe we honor that vision by doing the work: learning, planning, asking questions, accepting correction, serving people honestly, and trying again when the answer is not yet yes.

My goal is to build a continuum of care that supports people at every stage—from the entrepreneur opening a care home, to the caregiver seeking opportunity, to the family searching for the right setting, to the resident who deserves to feel safe, respected, and known. That is the work. That is the calling. And we are only getting started.
