Payroll & Staffing Scenarios Tool
Payroll Staffing Scenario Tool
Compare different staffing models, estimate monthly payroll, review payroll pressure against projected revenue, and understand how owner-covered shifts, live-in arrangements, or fully hired coverage may affect profitability.
1. Facility Revenue Inputs
Enter your projected facility revenue assumptions. This tool uses these numbers to compare payroll as a percentage of revenue.
2. Wage & Payroll Settings
Adjust wage, overtime, and employer payroll burden assumptions. Payroll burden may include employer taxes, workers' compensation, payroll processing, and related costs.
3. Choose Staffing Scenarios to Compare
Use the example placeholders as a guide, but enter your own numbers. The boxes are intentionally blank so the results are based on the user's inputs.
Model A: Owner-Operated + Weekend Staff
Owners cover most weekday shifts. Paid caregivers cover weekends, relief shifts, or selected coverage blocks.
Model B: 1 Caregiver per Shift, 24/7 Coverage
One paid caregiver covers AM, PM, and overnight coverage across the week.
Model C: 2-2-1 Staffing Model
Two caregivers during AM shift, two during PM shift, and one overnight. This is often financially heavy for a small facility.
Model D: Live-In / House Manager Model
Uses a monthly stipend or daily rate style estimate. This should be carefully reviewed for wage, labor, and role classification issues.
Model E: Custom Staffing Model
Enter any staffing plan you want to test, including mixed owner coverage, relief coverage, or part-time caregiver coverage.
