Daily Care Basics for Caregivers

This course teaches beginner caregivers the basics of ADL support, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, transferring, and eating. Students will learn how to assist clients or residents with dignity, privacy, safety, infection control, fall prevention, and respectful communication in a residential care or home care setting. The course is designed for caregivers, care home staff, family caregivers, and individuals who want to build foundational caregiving skills. It provides practical examples, simple explanations, and knowledge checks to help learners understand how to support daily care needs while protecting the client’s comfort, independence, and dignity. This course is provided by Rosenthal Community Care Services for general caregiver education, personal growth, and skill development. It is not advertised as a CDSS-approved continuing education course, state-required certification course, or replacement for employer-specific training, facility policies, or applicable licensing requirements.
