Advanced Dementia and Declining Function
A practical caregiver education course about recognizing decline in eating, mobility, speech, alertness, and daily participation for residents living with dementia.
Course Overview
In this course, you will follow Mr. Rosenthal through advanced dementia care situations where his eating, mobility, speech, alertness, and participation begin to change. You will practice noticing decline, supporting dignity, protecting safety, and reporting meaningful changes clearly.
This course focuses specifically on recognizing declining function in advanced dementia. It avoids duplicating separate RCCS courses on dementia basics, communication, personal care, mealtime support, behavior response, wandering, documentation, hospice basics, or end-of-life support.
