Course Overview
This course focuses specifically on communication with residents living with dementia. The goal is to practice calm tone, simple words, respectful body language, validation, patience, and professional communication without duplicating separate RCCS courses on redirection, sundowning, personal care, mealtime support, wandering, documentation, hospice, or family communication.
In this course, you will follow Mr. Rosenthal through realistic communication moments. You will practice how to speak, pause, validate feelings, use body language, and respond respectfully when communication becomes difficult.
